Our Story
Since 1999,
our team has been partnering with multi-family operators, owners, and developers to negotiate the ever-important, yet often burdensome, telecommunications contracts with national and regional vendors.
But there’s more to us than just negotiations and digital services. As a family-owned and operated company, we understand better than most the importance of long-term relationships built on trust and respect. We focus on building these types of connections with each of our customers.

Mike Coco
President
As President, Mike is responsible for development and implementation of company strategy for Choice. Since joining the company in 2001, Mike has immersed himself in the multifamily industry. His expertise in telecom technology and ancillary contract negotiations has increased the asset value for mid-sized property owners nationwide. In 2006, Mike became a Certified Apartment Supplier with the NAA and volunteers in leadership roles with NAHMA.
Dean Wolfe
Vice President of Technology & Vendor Relations
Dean joined Choice in 2010 with over 20 years of experience in business management, marketing, and property management. In addition to developing strong relationships with national vendors, he negotiates and leads the strategy on national vendor contracts for our multifamily operators. Dean stays current with the latest technologies and trends to discover the right solutions for our clients’ properties. He also handles management reporting, analysis, and new staff training.
Tia Murphy
Senior Vice President
Tia oversees and leads the day-to-day operations of Choice. With a background in administration, training, and education, Tia joined Choice in 2009. She’s responsible for the Account Management, Contract Management, and Business Development departments. Tia challenges her team to discover ancillary service opportunities that best fit each property owner’s business goals and to increase client efficiencies. Tia’s team also manages Choice’s role in development and new construction projects.
Lena Smith
Project Solutions Manager
Lena joined Choice in 2013 with over 25 years of experience in business development, account management, and project management and is licensed in real estate. She is experienced with managing a high volume of development and construction projects for our clients. As our development and construction expert, she works directly with multifamily property owners/developers and vendors, providing a dedicated contact for their projects. She brings a streamlined approach and process to successfully facilitate the installation of telecommunication and laundry services for construction properties.
Tammy Hunter
Vice President of Account Management
As the Vice President of Account Management, Tammy leads the account management team and keeps them focused on client needs and initiatives. Tammy also oversees the DEI committee at Choice. Tammy joined the company in 2013 as a Senior Account Executive managing clients with large affordable portfolios. With more than 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry, which includes managing a 380-unit property, Tammy brings a depth of knowledge to our team and understands the unique needs and requirements of properties and residents.
Walt Abood
Senior Director of Business Development
Walt helps our condominium and association clients successfully navigate the challenges around telecom services and right-of-entry terms in vendor proposals and contracts. He also manages the Business Development Department. Walt joined Choice in 2020 after a successful business development career in Enterprise Services for Verizon Wireless. He has over 40 years of experience as a business owner and executive leader. Walt serves on the Programming Committee of the Central Ohio Chapter of the CAI.
Tia Wells
Account Excutive
Tia has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications, including over a decade in the multifamily industry. Her experience includes customer service, sales, account management, and building long-lasting partnerships. Working for various telecom vendors throughout her career, she has a deep understanding of the industry and shares her knowledge with Choice clients. Tia joined Choice in 2020 as an Account Executive and she understands each client’s individual needs and recommends products and services that maximize value and increase ancillary revenue.
Jennifer Coco
Director of Business Development & Marketing
As a member of the business development team, Jennifer connects and builds relationships with multifamily property owners and developers. She plays a key role with multifamily operators to strengthen ancillary contracts. Jennifer joined Choice in 2016 with over 15 years of business experience, including four years working with companies that partner with Choice and understands what it takes to help make them successful.
Jake Higgins
Account Excutive
Jake joined the Choice team in 2023 as an Account Executive and is focused on managing several of our key client accounts. Prior to joining Choice, Jake gained several years of experience in the multifamily industry working for his family’s rental company. With a positive attitude and the ability to think out of the box, Jake helps clients capitalize on the best opportunities for their communities and residents.
Lisa Jeffries
Business Development Representative
Lisa is a trusted advisor to our condominium and association clients in the Central Ohio area. She helps them discover the best ancillary service opportunities for their property and understands how to navigate the complexities of right-of-entry terms in vendor proposals and telecommunications contracts. Lisa joined Choice in 2022 and has a diverse background that includes business development, recruitment, and teaching public speaking.
Sally Johnson
Business Development Representative
Sally joined Choice in 2023 with an extensive background in government and real estate. Sally helps our condominium and association clients located throughout the Midwest by providing industry advice and a customized approach to generate ancillary revenue. She has knowledge of right-of-entry terms in vendor proposals and ensures telecommunication contracts will meet the unique needs of each community.
Patrick Hayes
Business Development Representative
Patrick joined Choice in 2023 after a strong career in outside sales, including a major stint with one of the country’s largest grocery chains. Patrick lives near Charlotte NC and is responsible for providing Choice’s services in the southeastern United States. Patrick specializes in creating a path for condominium associations to effortlessly acquire ancillary income with no investment of time or money on the part of the condominium boards.
